Radiofrequency Microneedling

According to Healthline, radiofrequency microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that uses tiny needles and radiofrequency waves to rejuvenate the skin. It is a form of controlled skin injury, in which the damage stimulates the growth of new and healthy skin. This can benefit patients with acne scars and wrinkles, along with a bevy of other skin problems.

In radiofrequency microneedling, the needle "releases radiofrequency into the channels, causing additional damage," thus amplifying the benefits of conventional microneedling. The new skin is both thicker and smoother, reducing:

  • Acne scars
  • Cellulite
  • Fine lines
  • Hyperhidrosis
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Large pores
  • Loose, sagging skin
  • Scars from injury or surgery
  • Stretch marks

Morpheus Fractional Treatment

Also known as Morpheus8, Morpheus fractional treatment is a "modular [radiofrequency] fractional solution for full-body subdermal adipose remodeling." It penetrates subdermal tissue up to 8mm with a 7mm + 1mm thermal profile, meaning it delivers the deepest fractional treatments available - thanks to the dual handpieces used during the treatment. Morpheus fractional treatment often results in significantly reduced treatment times and skin injuries and increased uniformity in treatment.

Morpheus fractional treatment is considered a generally safe procedure, but it is not appropriate for everyone. The ideal candidate for Morpheus fractional treatment is in good general health, has realistic expectations, and shows early signs of aging. Those who are currently pregnant, are receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy, are currently using or have recently used Accutane, or taking anticoagulants are unsuitable for the procedure.

IPL Treatment

IPL, or intense pulsed light, treatment is a type of light therapy that can address spots, wrinkles, and unwanted hair. It can also minimize or even remove the following conditions:

  • Age spots
  • Birthmarks
  • Broken blood vessels on the face
  • Freckles
  • Hair on the back, bikini line, chest, face, legs, neck, or underarms
  • Rosacea
  • Sun damage
  • Varicose veins

While a traditional laser treatment focuses only one wavelength of light on the skin, IPL treatment releases light of several different wavelengths. It is more scattered and less focused, penetrating down to the second layer of the skin without harming the top. As such, IPL treatment causes less overall damage to the skin. The light energy is absorbed by the pigment cells in the skin, where it is converted into heat and destroys the unwanted pigment or destroys the hair follicle.

Lumecca IPL

Lumecca is an intense IPL treatment that has been clinically proven to significantly improve most patients' pigmented and vascular lesions. In addition, this treatment specifically targets sun damage by sending beams of light into the skin tissue, breaking up any discolored areas of the face. As such, Lumecca IPL treatment can successfully treat age spots, freckles, and other discolorations.

It is important to avoid chemical peels, collagen injections, direct sunlight, drugs that increase one's bleeding risk, vitamin A products, tanning, and waxing before the procedure. While Lumecca IPL can be performed anywhere on the body, it may not work as well on uneven areas, and it is not recommended for those inclined towards getting thick, raised keloid scars or those who have darker skin tones. Furthermore, it is not as effective on light-colored hair.

Laser Hair Removal

According to WebMD, laser hair removal is one of the most common cosmetic procedures in the U.S. It involves beaming highly concentrated light into the hair follicles. This light is absorbed by the pigment, which destroys the hair. Laser hair removal can remove unwanted hair from the following body parts:

  • Arm
  • Back
  • Bikini line
  • Chin
  • Face
  • Leg
  • Underarm

It is important to remember that the above list is not exhaustive. Laser hair removal is precise, relatively quick, and predictable. Surrounding skin is left undamaged, while lasers target many hairs at once. Most patients require only an average of three to seven sessions to achieve permanent results.

Diolaze XL Laser Hair Removal

With Diolaze XL laser hair removal, patients can finally achieve the smooth skin of their dreams. It is safe for use on almost all face and body areas and can target coarse and stubborn hair on the skin up to skin type VI.

Diolaze XL hair removal uses a diode laser beam to pass through and towards the hair follicles, heating the hair root to prevent future hair growth. In addition, this treatment has one of the largest treatment spot sizes, making treatments relatively convenient and speedy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is it like to recover from Morpheus fractional treatment?

Since Morpheus fractional treatment is a minimally invasive procedure, recovery time is also minimal. It is normal for there to be some redness for the first two to three days, and some pinpoint bleeding after treatment may be present. However, most patients can return to their everyday activities by the next day.

Does Morpheus fractional treatment hurt?

We will numb your skin before your session begins to minimize any potential pain or discomfort you may experience. Furthermore, the needle perforations made in the skin are minuscule enough for there not to be any lasting damage. However, some redness and swelling are not uncommon.

What is a Lumecca IPL treatment like?

During a Lumecca IPL treatment, the device will emit a bright flash of light. Many patients liken the sensation they feel to a light rubber band snap. It is normal to feel some redness and warming of the skin after treatment, though this usually subsides within the hour.

How many IPL sessions will I need?

While many patients see an improvement in skin tone in as little as one session, most patients choose to undergo at least three treatments with Lumecca IPL — yielding even better results. How many sessions you need depends on the severity of your skin damage, your skin type, and other factors.

Am I a good candidate for laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal targets dark hair more effectively than light hair, as the light emitted from the laser is attracted to the pigment in the hair follicle. However, we can determine the best treatment plan for you regardless of your hair type.
